Happy Father's Day!

Tom had a pretty good Father's Day - I unfortunately had to work, but that means that he had Julia all to himself all day! For his gifts, I framed a photo of Tom and Julia when she wasn't even a day old, and then did her foot prints next to the photo, and I also framed Tom's favorite photo of Julia from our family professional pictures so he could take them into work. His favorite Father's Day gift though, was hearing Julia laugh for the first time! The card I picked out for him was a little bumblebee and he was making buzzing noises to Julia and she started craking up laughing! Tom started laughing, and I was laughing and crying. I think that's the best sound in the world :).

Our Jules!

While we were in Oregon, Julia turned 3 months old!! It's so incredible how much she's grown. I took her to the doctor this past week (I thought she had ring worm, but it was just dry skin), and she weighs over 13lbs, I couldn't believe it! I think she had a growth spurt while we were in Oregon, she was sleeping a ton and then was looking bigger everyday. Here are her 3 month photos, enjoy!

Oregon Visit

Tom, Julia, and I had the opportunity to go back to Oregon for a visit with family for a couple of weeks. I was a little concerned about how Julia would do on the flights, but she was so great!! Her ears didn't bother her and she slept pretty much the whole time. It was such a wonderful visit! We haven't seen Athena, Tim and Isaac in over a year, so is was so great to spend time with them and see how much Isaac has grown! He was very good with Julia, would say "baby" everytime he heard her cry, and would hand me her pacifier or blankie!! What a sweetie :). It was also really great to be able to visit with my parents and they had fun playing with Julia too! I can't wait for our next visit!

Julia had her 2 month well baby appointment this week! She weighs 11 lbs 11 oz, is 23.25 in. long and her head circumference is within the 25-50% range. Good news for her! She's right on track with all the "right" developmental milestones, I think the only one she's a little behind in is lifting up her chest from the ground. I'm not too concerned about that though, since when we lift her up in the air like she's flying she can hold her head for a really long time, so we know she's strng enough, I think she just doesn't like being on the floor on her tummy since she can't look around! She needs to see what's going on around her :).

She also got her first big round of immunizations. I really didn't want to have her get so many shots at once, but I didn't have a better idea of how we wanted to go about it, and the daycare requires her to be current with everything anyway. I'm also a little nervous about her being around so many other kids too, since we never know what everyone's been exposed to. Anyway, it was really tough to see Jules get stuck with needles, but she handled them really well and doesn't seem to be bothered at all by them.

Julia has been really enjoying her play time! She likes laying on her tummy, not for very long yet, but she'll do it a couple times a day, and she also likes just hanging out looking around.

Julia turned 2 months a few days ago, and boy, has the time gone by quickly!! She's grown so much, and changed a lot too. She loves to smile at us, and makes lots of noises! She'll "talk" with us, loves to play on the floor, likes practicing standing up and sitting up, and still loves to cuddle and sleep with mommy and daddy. We haven't had her 2 month appointment yet, but I'll post her stats when have that check-up. I think she's about 10-11 lbs though.
