Julia is 16 Months!

The last few months since Julia's first birthday have really flown by and I've been neglecting my documenting of her milestones. Lately, she has been doing even more sign language and even saying (albeit not perfectly pronouced) a few words! She says, Mama, Dada, hi, bye, all done, nurse (NAH?!), bubbles, bath, nap (nah nah, for night night), up, "I do", UH-OH (this one she says perfectly!!), and also points to everything she sees. She also loves helping, especially with the laundry! It takes awhile, but she'll hand me one clothing item at a time so I can put it in the washer, or I'll hand her items to put in the dryer. She's also getting really good at putting things back where they belong! Her and Daddy make lots of animal noises, but don't just make the noises, they do all the actions. Here are some of their favorite animals: monkeys (imagine a grown man hopping around with a little girl chasing after him!), ducks, crabs (she's good at the claw pinching), elephant, cat, dog, bear, alligator, and rabbit! Within the last week or so, she also has started to get two more bottom teeth, in addition to her two top and two bottom teeth that are already in! Her hair is almost long enough for a pony tail, but Daddy would rather she leave her hair down always :). She enjoys being read to and counting all the objects on a page (she'll point to everything like how we do when we're counting). She also LOVES dancing! She'll dance in her car seat, in Church when we sing, at home when we listen to music or movies with songs, and when we're trying to get to her to fall asleep (she knows it'll make us laugh!). She also perfected walking and is starting to run. Her physical strength is pretty astounding actually, and I've told Tom on more than one occassion that I'm sure if it really came down to it, she could out muscle me!

Julia certainly keeps us on our toes, but it is so amazing to watch her develop and get so much bigger. We're always suprised by how much she understands, even with her limited vocabulary. Tonight, for example, we asked her to get Bunny and Cookie Monster, and she went right to them and gave us each one! Enjoy the photos of our not so baby Baby Girl!
